The investment team includes individuals with a proven investment track record alongside highly respected and well known political and business leaders in Bangladesh itself.

Maruf H. Khan Noorpuri - CEO graduated from the London School of Economics. He has 33 years experience in global capital markets and commodity trading. He is CEO of Royal Bengal Investment Company (RBIMCO). Mr Khan is also CEO of TIMCO which manages a Bangladesh Fixed Income fund for international investors and of Macro Investment Trading, a hedge fund focused on trading global macro markets. In the period 2002 to 2007, he was the Managing Partner/ Principal for AIM in New York, trading in US Treasuries and the S&P 500, where his risk adjusted returns put his performance amongst the top three CTA’s between 2004 and 2007. Previously he was Managing Director at Nomura International in New York, where he ran International Fixed Income. Prior to that, he worked at EF Hutton in government bond and commodity trading and at CFSB London in proprietary government bond trading. Mr Khan Noorpuri is also director of two Bangladesh based businesses; Noorpur Tea Holdings, a tea growing and packaging business and of MHK Enterprise (Real Estate), an established real estate company.

Kamran Idris Choudhury - Director is a qualified chartered accountant and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in both England & Wales and Bangladesh. Mr Choudhury started at Touche Ross (now Deloitte) in London before moving to A Qasem & Co, a member firm of Ernst and Young based in Bangladesh. In his 25 years with the company, he led major Audit and MCS assignments with multinational, overseas and joint venture companies, financial institutions and international donor agencies. Clients included DFID, USAID, CARE and several foreign missions. He is currently Vice Chairman of Green Delta Insurance Ltd.

Matthew J. Yang - Executive Director holds an MBA from the University of Texas and holds series 6,7 and 63 financial securities licenses. Mr Yang started his career as a Business Analyst for Asia Pacific Trading Company in Hong Kong before moving to the US as a Network Engineer for Sinertech IT. In 1998 he joined John Hancock Financials as Investment Adviser for 401k and Mutual Funds. He was appointed Director of Operations for Homekey Mortgage in the US and then spent over 4 years as Executive Director of First Washington Mortgage where he was also an advisory member of the government mortgage restructuring team under the Frank Dodds Act. Mr Yang has been based in Bangladesh for the past 3 years focussing on private equity.

Eric Kugler graduated in Economics from New York University and has obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Fordham University. He has experience as a senior money market trader at Drexel Burnham, Mitsubishi and he is now partner of a NY employment firm.

Mark Taylor graduated from the London School of Economics in 1982. He is a successful entrepreneur and owned a well respected marketing and advertising firm operating in the UK and UAE working with regional and global blue chip clients. He was also a Board Director of Confrad, the world’s largest independent marketing agency network.
